Ravensburger signs up Ice Age 3

Firm will launch range of puzzles and games in time for the movie’s pre-publicity campaign next summer.
Ravensburger has signed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising for the third instalment of popular animated film, Ice Age.
The firm plans to introduce a puzzleball, floor puzzle, board game and card game featuring imagery from the movie.
Clive Richardson, marketing manager, Ravensburger, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering Fox Licensing & Merchandising on Ice Age 3. The licence has a proven track record on box office receipts and merchandise sales. And it’s a growing phenomenon - the franchise grew with the second film.”
Carl Lumbard, senior vice president and managing director, Fox Licensing & Merchandising Europe, added: “We are excited to have Ravensburger join our licensing programme for Ice Age 3 and it is a testament to the true brand status of this film franchise that we can continue to welcome new partners on board.
Scheduled for release on July 1st, 2009, the film features characters Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the sloth and Diego, the sabre-toothed tiger, along with Scrat.
