Classic characters and films will be at the forefront of Warner Bros. Consumer Products' presence at next week's Licensing International show in New York.
As well as showing off what it calls an 'unrivalled slate' of event movies - including Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - for 2008, WBCP will also be concentrating on some of its most beloved franchises.
Tweety and the rest of the Looney Tunes are gearing up for a big year, while the likes of Hanna-Barbera, Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, Superman and Batman will be pushed. Timeless classics such as Gone with the Wind, The Wizard of Oz, Caddyshack, The Goonies, Gremlins, The Polar Express, Frosty the Snowman and A Christmas Story will also be highlighted on the firm's booth.
The Speedy Gonzales character continues to be reinvented - with a limited edition line of Speedy skateboards, t-shirts and hats being produced to support a recent US tour - while WBCP will look to underline its leadership in the football licensing arena with pushes for European clubs such as AC Milan, Manchester United and FC Barcelona.
WBCP has more than 3,700 active licensees worldwide.
