Mega poaches Jakks man

Mega appoints new executive vice president and chief operations officer to strengthen its worldwide operations.
Mega Brands has appointed former Jakks’ VP of global manufacturing and sourcing, Tony Bazan, to the post.
Bazan will report to the firm’s president and CEO, Mark Bertrand.
"Tony's broad supply chain and manufacturing experience, coupled with his significant knowledge of consumer products, will pay immediate dividends as we continue to improve our performance and return our company to growth and profitability," Bertrand said.
"I couldn't be more excited to join Mega Brands at such a pivotal point in the company's history," added Bazan.
"The foundation of Mega is rock-solid, built on strong brands and strong category positions. I look forward to building on that foundation by helping Mega achieve world-class operations that are second-to-none."
Bazan held a number of executive roles within the consumer products industry before joining Jakks , where he oversaw vendor relationships around the world, including Vietnam, India, and Mexico. His responsibilities included engineering, product costing, global supply chain, quality and compliance.
