vividSales veteran bows out

Sales agent Roy Gray is retiring at the end of the year, after 45 years in the business.

A Golden Teddy Award was awarded to Gray to mark his forthcoming retirement in December after 45 years in the toy trade.

Gray started with Louis Marx in 1963 selling big hits kike Ricochet Rifles and Daleks, then worked for Brittains four years later, staying with them until 1976 when Browns Of Leicester gave him the sales agency for North East England and Yorkshire selling the Toy Of The Year Peter Powell Kites amongst other big selling lines.

He continued to build agency adding major players Matchbox and Vivid Imaginations to his portfolio.

Totally professional, dependable, loyal and hard-working, Roy will be sadly missed by customers and toy company principals alike. We all wish him well for a long, happy and well-earned retirement."
