Vendor which made the Fisher Price toys recalled last week is revealed.

Mattel has identified the Chinese vendor involved in its recall of the Fisher Price branded toys that contained lead paint.

The company said that Lee Der Industrial Company, located in Guangdong province, made the 967,000 toys sold under the brand in the US between May and August.

Mattel has apologised to customers for the recall, which will cut its pre-tax operating income by $30 million.

A spokewoman, Jules Andres, said that all the toys which were recalled were made by the one vendor and that the company has 'ceased accepting shipments from the facility'. Mattel has shared the name of the vendor with competitors which may also be doing business with the Chinese company.
