NEW TOY AWARDS: Girlz mag launches consumer poll

Tween magazine's consumer awards include five toy categories.
The awards represent the magazine's attempt to provide more information to its readers.
Categories of interest in the 2008 Star Awards inlcude Best Electronic Game, Games Console, Best Craft Kit, Best Board Game and Toy of the Year.
Other areas to be covered include days out, family restaurants, lip gloss and mobile phones.
Angela Spencer, editor, said: "It's important for us to let our readers know which products are available to them and what's recommended by their peers.
"Our awards will look at many different aspects, not only what the girls want but also whether they would be pleasing to parents too so products will be tested by the editorial team, a parent plus a panel of readers."
Winning and commended entries will be published in the November 6th issue of 4Girlz and on its website, following a presentation in london.
