Lego and Nickelodeon are running a promotion to find a star for the next Lego City TV ad.

The two winners will be digitally shrunk down to Lego scale in the advert to wander around Lego City.

Lego and Nickelodeon offered children the chance to submit their entries and five finalists have now been selected from auditions held at the Nickelodeon studios in London earlier this month.

From 4th September for two weeks, Nickelodeon viewers will get to vote on the dedicated website at nick.co.uk/legocity to decide which of the five finalists will get to become the stars of the new commercial. Audition tapes and details for the five finalists will be posted online to help viewers make up their minds.

"It’ll be a dream come true for another two lucky youngsters out there.” said Carina Lysgaard, Lego brand manager. "They’ll appear in an advert which will air on the Nickelodeon channels from 20th October 2008. The City brand is all about realism and role-play and what better way to communicate it than giving children this great opportunity to literally get right in it – it doesn’t get more real than that!"

New this year is the Lego City Coast Guard range, complete with iconic everyday vehicles and scenes.
